OctMiss Scratch’s 1st Birthday-Party Time
Well it never fails…when i try and plan something…she will make her own schedule and mess mine up.
I times Miss Scratch’s party perfect. She’d go down for her nap in the morning and wake up around 11-11:30. She’d eat lunch, get dressed, and be ready for her visitors at noon.
Well, I put her down at the right time.That said, I don’t know if it was all the people at our house, the excitement of everything going on, or just her making my life difficult…but she did not want to sleep. She probably only slept 15-20 minutes during the 1.5 hours she lay there. When i finally gave in and got her…she ate, got dressed, but she was not happy. She was so tired and clingy and crying. Her first guests showed up at 12:15 and she wasn’t doing too well…so I gave in and tried to put her back down. She actually did fall asleep this time.
In the end, it actually worked out because Scratch and I got to eat in peace. Then she woke up in a good mood. Most people were there already. She got to play, open gifts, and eat cake.
