    More Stubborn??

I didn’t think it was possible, but I was wrong. Scratch Jr is officially more stubborn than Miss Scratch. At this time (5 days after her due date), I was in labor with Miss Scratch. I was at the hospital walking the halls, preparing to meet my little lady. This time. Well, nothing yet.

The good news is that Scratch Jr was not born on Valentine’s Day. The bad news is that if he doesn’t come on his own…he’s being evicted tomorrow.

I am a little sad that I have an induction date/time. I really had hoped that the little guy would come on his own. When he was ready. But I understand the reasons behind it. When the pregnancy lasts more than 42 weeks, the placenta usually stops functioning well enough for the baby to get adequate nutrition and oxygen. The placenta is the baby’s lifeline. It transfers oxygen and nutrients from the pregnant woman to the fetus. Now, I will only be 41 weeks…but it still makes sense for me.

The one thing that scares me is that I had intended on trying to go med free. With induction, that’s not possible. The first thing that happens when I get to the hospital is an IV is placed in me with meds.

The other thing that scares me are all the horror stories I’ve heard with inductions leading to c-sections. Don’t get me wrong…I realize even a med-free birth can lead to a c-section…but I’m still nervous. I just have to trust my body and hope it progresses properly.

So, in the end…I will likely be meeting Scratch Jr tomorrow. Crazy, right??

Positive thoughts for him to come on his own, please.

May be a some time before I post again…although I will try and at least get the announcement up.

I'm newly married to an amazing guy, Scratch. We have a baby girl, Miss Scratch who's quite the handful. I'm an engineer and very OCD about things. I love being a wife and mom, my dog (Bella), shopping, playing poker, and the Twilight Series.
